Our Customer Equipment Services Group (CES) is proud to operate Silgan University. We offer best-in-class equipment training to ensure that your staff is fully knowledgeable about caring for your equipment.

These classes provide hands-on instruction and are taught by seasoned professional instructors. Each student will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the class.

SEAMER TRAINING

  • Standard Seamer Course: Hands-on training. Course provides the mechanical basics of the seamer, including double seams and seamer setup.
  • Advanced Seamer Course: covers more advanced mechanical training. Classroom topics include preparation and review of the overhaul, evaluation of used parts, modifications to update machines, and review of equipment audit sheets.

ABOUT SEAMER TRAINING

  • Parking is available in front of the Training Center
  • A training manual will be provided to each participant
  • Light, continental breakfast refreshments will be served
  • Attire is “business casual”
  • Open-toed shoes or sandals should not be worn as those types of footwear are not allowed in the premises for safety reasons
  • Cellular phones, cameras or phone/camera combinations are not allowed at the Silgan plants and training facilities
  • Protective eyewear and ear plugs are required during the plant tours and will be provided. Regular eyeglasses or your own protective glasses are suitable for the plant visits if you prefer. Similarly, your own earplugs are also acceptable should you have a preferred pair
